Citizens Committee presents a list of proposed projects totaling more than $120 million, which would require a millage rate increase of 6.888 mills, to the Fort Smith Public Schools Board of Educaiton.

As students, parents, staff, and members of the Fort Smith Public Schools community, we continue to grieve with the families impacted by the recent shooting in Florida. Our hearts go out to the Broward community, and they are in our thoughts and prayers.

A new breakfast cart debuted in the Southside High School lobby Wednesday morning. With funding assisted by the “No Kids Hungry” program, students can now access breakfast from the cart at no charge, thus reducing the strain on the cafeteria.

Cook​ ​Elementary​ School ​honored​ ​former​ ​principal​ ​Bill​ ​Spicer​ ​by​ ​renaming​ ​the campus nature​ ​center​ ​to​ ​commemorate​ ​his​ ​legacy​ ​at​ ​the​ ​school.​

As part of an effort by the Fort Smith School district to be more involved with the community, district officials hosted around 60 over 60 Fort Smith residents who are interested in learning more about area public schools and the city itself.
