Educators & Staff

Welcome! You make a difference in the lives of the children who you serve.

Students tell us many things about their teachers and the school staff members who they see every day. From your students’ points of view, each staff member is important and vital to the operation of each school.

They say,
“Teachers always give their students reasons to take an extra step in life.” — Shania

“Things will change, people will be forgotten, but when I become rich and famous I will always remember that it all started at Howard Elementary School.” — Chris

“The secretaries are really nice to the people who come in the office.” —Meshia

“The food in the cafeteria is exquisite.” —Zach

“Our principal loves us and he wants us to be smart.” — Ilse

“Thanks to Mr. Tony and Mr. John our pipes are always clean and our water is clear as a sky on a cloudless day.” —Jacob

“The staff like principals, counselors, teachers and janitors are all very great at what they do. They take care of the students right or wrong and they do it in a pleasant manner.” —Dallas

There are many great reasons to work in Fort Smith Public Schools, but the children are—perhaps—the greatest.

These pages are designed to provide current and potential staff members with information about human resources topics, professional development opportunities, business office updates, and assessment center services.
